This course schedule is designed to give as much experiance as you can take in.
Everybody is different and some people learn quicker than others that's why we treat you as an individual you can work at your own pace although we will try and give you a gentle push if we think you need it.For beginners we usually start with one week learning all the basics from stencil drawing to machine set up and hygiene then to line work, black and grey shading and colour work using the machines on practice skins.
The second week we start on real skin.

A typical first week.

Day 1
Introduction to stenciling this helps the hands get stamina and also helps you understand hand movement and direction.

Day 2
Machine set up and hygiene, this is very important no matter how good an artist you are if your machine don't work right you aint doing any tattoo. This goes for hygiene as well, you can do the best tattoo in the world but if you haven't cleaned the skin properly and stuck to your strict hygiene regime, and also not given the correct advice to your customer about aftercare then the wound will become infected and no one will come to you for a tattoo. Remember your only as good as your last tattoo!! The standard is very high today.


Day 3
Line work using practice skins, don't listen to anybody who says you cannot do good tattoo on a practice skin!! You can.
You need to perfect your line work as mistakes are not easily fixed most tattoo artists are judged on there line work.




Day 4
Block and shading black and grey, probably the hardest thing to master, you will never look at a tribal tattoo again in the same way!
Filling in solid black is very hard, and to get a nice even finish with black and grey shading is also very hard, but when done correctly is very satisfying.

Day 5
Block and shading colour,using your skills from the day before you can try filling in and shading in colour we learn how to mix colours and use them together, remember, real skin next !!!!!!!!

Advanced course its usually real skin from the start(if you have a portfolio). The model will pick the tattoo with a little guidance from ourselves depending on what you want to learn, in areas that you feel weak in and need more experience.

You will be working up to 6 hrs a day usually completing 1 large tattoo everyday.

For intermediate(people with some experience) we do the same but give less complicated tattoos to begin with then progressing onto more advanced work.

For beginners after the first week we will start you off on real skin!!ARRGGHHH I hear you say but don't be frightened we will start you off with small uncomplicated tattoos. Then progress onto more complicated tattoos as the course progresses.
